PUPPY HAS BEEN VET CHECKED AND HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE FREE OF GENETIC DEFECTS AND IS IN GOOD HEALTH. CUSTOMER WILL HAVE THEIR STATE LICENCED VET CHECK THE HEALTH OF THE PUPPY WITHIN 72 HOURS TO VERIFY THE PUP'S STATE OF HEALTH.
Your Passion Staffy Puppy is Guaranteed as Follows:
Your puppy is guaranteed to be free from any genetic / hereditary defects that cause death or serious impairment of vital functions in the puppy, until said puppy is two years of age. Your Puppy is Guarenteed L2-Hga Clear by Birth and Copies of Testing history of parents or Gr Parents is available on request. For this guarantee to be valid we require documentation from a licensed veterinarian of the problem. If your puppy prematurely dies, we require some sort of diagnosis or cause of death, documented by a licensed veterinarian to prove the cause of death. If you do not have this documentation the pup will NOT be covered. We reserve the right to a second vet opinion. If an inheritable defect is documented by a Veterinarian and presented to the seller with sufficient supporting evidence, the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy. If Passion Staffys agrees to replace a puppy, the buyer will be credited with the purchase price they paid for their puppy. They will be permitted to apply the purchase price to any puppy that they like that is for sale. If they desire a puppy that is priced more than the purchase price of their original puppy, the buyer will have to pay the balance. We do NOT refund monies at any time. We will not cover shipping costs on puppies. If your dog has been used in any canine sports (i.e. weight pulling, protection work etc.) or a breeding program or has been bred, this guarantee is null and void.
Puppies are at risk for Coccidia (runny or even bloody stools) which is often brought on by the stress of shipping, a new home, new food, new people, change of climate or surroundings, etc. Puppies shipped also seem more prone to have bouts with Coccidia . Another thing that may show up with shipping and/or the stress of moving and a new home is Kennel Cough (Bordatella - a raspy cough may be signs of this) which is common in dogs that are shipped and is usually caused by bacteria. Kennel cough is self limiting and like the common cold, it must run its course. Full recovery is expected and kennel cough, Coccidia on their own are not life threatening. However, you need to be aware that these things can arise and that they are usually not serious (even though seeing blood in the stool appears serious) and are easily treated. WE WILL NOT AND DO NOT COVER THE TREATMENT FOR THE ABOVE LISTED ISSUES.
Puppy will be current on worming and shots and will have received vaccinations and worming depending on age. No replacements will be given in case of Parvo.
If your dog is used in any sort of illegal activity (i.e. dog fighting), or in any canine sports (i.e. weight pulling), or is mistreated, malnourished, abused or not taken care of, the guarantee is completely null and void.
We cannot guarantee that the dog will not contract mange. Mange is a multifunctional genetic disease that can be transmitted in a recessive manner. There is much dispute between experts as to the differing specific causes of mange, including environment, stress and nutrition. Therefore we cannot guarantee against it. We are not geneticists and cannot predict genetic problems. Many believe that diet, stress and surroundings play the biggest part in mange and we have no way of ensuring that a buyer is taking proper care of the dog. We do not breed dogs with undesirable conditions such as mange, but we cannot guarantee that previous generations did not have these conditions in their lines, unbeknownst to us. We are always available for advice if any issues arise.
There is no guarantee or warranty that the buyer will be able to breed or show the dog purchased regardless of show or breeding potential.
This guarantee is not transferable from the original purchaser.
Do all the research that you can, understand and accept that when you purchase a dog you may have to deal with some issues. Stress- one must understand that it is stressful for any puppy to leave its home and littermates or playmates. Like you, a pup under stress, is more susceptible to illness. His immune system is compromised while under stress. There are millions of bacteria, fungi and depending on environment, viruses all over. If pup comes into contact with these while he is stressed, he will be less able to fight it off. Be very considerate of this factor, keep the pup quiet and wait until he knows you and is over his stressful time to expose him to new and exciting (and usually germ and virus friendly) atmospheres. Like going to Petco to choose a new bone, or inviting all your family and friends over to see him. Give him time and keep him away from stress as much as possible the first 10 days or so. Hold him in your lap at the Vet. Like Hospitals, where there are sick people all over, vet offices see sick dogs nearly every day. It may take him a few days of rest to be himself. This is normal. We suggest that you do not expose your new puppy to new things until you have had him for 2 weeks. Keep him in your yard, hold him if you cannot. He is a baby just like a human baby. You know how they catch every cold around? It is because they are new to the world and their immune system needs to be exposed to things to become strong, same thing with baby puppies. Pups are current on their vaccinations including hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo when they leave Passion Staffys. You will need to give several more when the pup gets a bit older. Speak with your vet about what is appropriate for your area. The incubation period on Parvo is 2-10 days. Just because a puppy is current on vaccinations, this does not mean he is immune. You will be given a health certificate and shot record from our vet with your dog. All of the dogs here at Passion Staffys are on a comprehensive health program that was compiled with the help of long time breeders and our Veterinarian. |
